Porto felt made for wandering without much of a plan. The streets kept dropping toward the river, the facades kept catching the light differently, and every turn seemed to offer another strong line or color.
It is the kind of city that rewards staying out a little longer than you meant to. The best moments came late, when the shadows stretched and everything started to glow without trying too hard.
